JSPL at Raigarh has built a strong Environment Management Department (EMD) having a multi-disciplinary team comprising professional and technical staff.
JSPL’s well-equipped and modern environmental laboratory within the EMD has been established in order to adhere to various environmental policies and norms, which it actively follows. The laboratory helps the company to monitor all vital environmental parameters.
The laboratory is fully equipped and modern and essential equipments viz. GC-MS, Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer, EDXRF, Combustion Flue Gas Analyzer, Stack Monitoring Kits, High Volume Sampler & Respirable Dust Samplers, pH meter, Spectrophotometer, Turbidity meter, Autoclave, Laminar Flow, Mercury Analyzer, Flame Photometer, CO Monitor and personal heat stress monitors are in use in the laboratory. For testing the quality of water, a microbiological laboratory has also been set up recently.
