Ferro chrome stands out as one of the most imperative requirements needed for the manufacturing of stainless and special steel. At JSPL, high-grade chrome ore, one of the pre-requisites for making ferro chrome, is sourced from the captive chrome ore mines in Sukinda Valley of Odisha.


The Plant

The ferro chrome plant with a production capacity of 36,000 TPA is fully equipped with a modern laboratory complete with state-of-the-art testing facilities at par with international standards. From each tapping, control samples are collected and analyzed so as to maintain the international standards of product quality.

Throughout the manufacturing process, special emphasis is laid on ensuring the quality of raw materials used at all levels. The entire production process goes through a rigorous quality testing method and conforms to international standards.
