To keep abreast with the latest global technical know-how, JSPL has transcended the national boundary and entered into various technical agreements and international collaborations in order to accelerate the pace and quality of services rendered.

Raigarh

Outotec	Sinter Plant JSPL has taken the technological knowhow and key process equipments from Outotec, Germany for state-of-the-art 204 m2 (2.4 MTPA) Sinter Plant. Sinter is a feed-mix to the blast furnace which has contributed significantly in increasing the efficiency of the blast furnace iron-making process. The plant will produce very high quality sinter for Blast Furnace application.
SSIT	Coke Oven JSPL has taken the technological knowhow and key process equipments from SSIT-China to produce 0.8 MTPA of coke from a non recovery type stamp charging coke oven. The plant will produce very high quality metallurgical coke for Blast Furnace application.
Danieli-Corus	Blast Furnace JSPL has taken the technological knowhow & key process equipments from Danieli Corus for a Blast Furnace having annual capacity of 1.4 Mt. The 1681m3 (Inner Volume) Blast Furnace which is producing 1.4 MT of Hot Metal per annum is one of the best operating Blast Furnace in India having very high productivity and high Pulvurize Coal Injection (PCI) rate.
SMS-Siemag	Electric Arc Furnace No. 1 & 2 JSPL has taken the technological knowhow and key process equipments from SMS Siemag, Germany for 2 x 100 t EAF, 3 x 100T LF, 1 x 100T RH,and 1 x 100 VD which will produce around 2 MT of liquid steel per annum. Flexibility to use both DRI and hot metal as feed mix, which gives JSPL the advantage of operating the furnaces with minimum energy consumption and maximum productivity.
Saaralle-Spain	Electric Arc Furnace No. 3 JSPL has taken the technological knowhow and key process equipments from Saaralle,Spain to provide technological knowhow & key process equipments for 1 x 100T EAF, 1 x 100T LF and 1 x 100 VD which will produce around 1.1 MT of liquid steel. Flexibility to use both DRI (cold as well as hot) and hot metal as feed mix, gives JSPL the advantage of operating the furnaces with minimum energy consumption and maximum productivity.
SMS-Siemag	Slab Caster JSPL has taken the technological knowhow and key process equipments from SMS Siemag, Germany to enhance the production capacity of existing Slab Caster. After up-gradation, the production capacity of Slab Caster will increase from 1 MTPA to 1.5 MTPA with capability of producing slabs having width from 1250 - 3000 mm and thickness from 180-300 mm.
SMS Concast, Switzerland	Billet Caster JSPL has taken the technological knowhow and key process equipments from SMS Concast for a 1 x 6 strand billet caster, to produce 1.0 MTPA of billets. The Caster is capable of producing 100-200 mm thick billets of very high quality.
Siemens VAI	Combi Caster JSPL has taken the technological knowhow and key process equipments from Siemens VAI, UK for a 1 x 4 strand Combi Caster. This caster is having an annual capacity of around 1.0 MTPA and capable of producing beam blank, boom, rounds of various sizes.
Danieli	MLSM-(Medium and Light Structural Mill) JSPL has taken the technological knowhow and key process equipments from Danieli, Italy for producing medium and light structural steel products (channels, angles etc). The mill is capable of producing 0.6 MTPA of finished products.

Angul

LURGI	Coal Gasification Plant JSPL has taken the technological knowhow and key process equipments from Lurgi (South Africa) for producing Syn Gas from Coal through a technology known as ‘Fixed Bed Dry Bottom Coal Gasification process’. The plant will produce 225,000Nm3/h of pure Syn gas from 7 number of Gasifiers. Technological Advantage This coal gas is a substitute for Natural Gas and the quantity produced will suffice for DRI (Direct Reduced Iron) as a reducing agent as well as other plants (as fuel). Locally available high ash coal after washing is used in the Gasifiers to produce Synthesis Gas.
Danieli/HYL	DRI (Direct Reduced Iron) JSPL has taken the technological knowhow and key process equipments from Danieli (Italy) / HYL (Mexico) for producing DRI by a technology called Energiron. This DRI (hot or cold) will be fed to EAF for producing liquid steel. The capacity of the DRI plant will be 2.5 Million TPA which will be the largest capacity DRI Plant in the world. Technological Advantage This plant is capable of producing DRI by using either 100% Coke Oven Gas or 100 % Syn Gas generated from Coal Gasification unit or a combination of both. The Hot DRI will be feed directly into the Electric Arc Furnace by a pneumatic conveying system called "HYTEMP". This will be used for the first time in India. Uniform quality and Higher Carbon percentage, leading to increase in productivity of EAF. Environment friendly
Midrex	DRI (Direct Reduced Iron) JSPL has taken the technological knowhow and key process equipments from Midrex,USA for producing DRI by using Syn Gas generated from Coal Gasificaion.This DRI (hot or cold) will be fed to EAF for producing liquid steel. The capacity of the plant will be 1.8 Million TPA, one of the largest capacity DRI Plant in the world. Technological Advantage This will be the first DRI plant in the world to produce cold/hot DRI using Synthesis Gas (Syn Gas) generated from Coal Gasification process. The Hot DRI will be feed directly into the Electric Arc Furnace by a metallic pan conveyor. This will be used for the first time in India. Uniform quality and Higher Carbon percentage, leading to increase in procuctivity of EAF. Environment friendly
SMS-Siemag	Electric Arc furnace No. 1 JSPL has taken the technological knowhow and key process equipments from SMS Siemag(Germany) for 1 x 250T EAF, 1x250T LF, 1x250T duplex RH, which will produce more than 2.0 MTPA liquid steel per annum. This will be the largest size Electric Arc Furnace in India. Technological Advantage Flexibility to use both Cold / Hot DRI and Hot Metal as feed mix, which gives JSPL the advantage of operating the furnaces with minimum energy consumption and high productivity. The Hot DRI produced from the DRI plant will be feed directly into the Electric Arc Furnace by a metallic pan conveyor which will be used for the first time in India.
Siemens VAI	Slab Caster JSPL has taken the technological knowhow and key process equipments from Siemens VAI, UK for a single strand slab caster which will produce1.6 MT of slabs per annum. Technological Advantage The caster is capable of producing slabs having thickness 200-300 mm & width 1000-2300mm
SMS-Siemag	BOF Shop No. 1 JSPL has taken the technological knowhow and key process equipments from SMS Siemag(Germany) for 2 x 250T BOF, 3x250T LF, 1x250T duplex RH, which is capable of producing 5.0 MTPA liquid steel per annum. Technological Advantage This will be first plant in India, equipped with DRY type De dusting system which is more environmental friendly and Energy Efficient.
Siemens VAI	Plate Mill JSPL has taken the technological knowhow and key process equipments from Siemens VAI for a 5.0 metre wide Plate Mill. As part of the Company’s forward integration process of completing the process chain to produce value-added Finished Product, establishment of a 5.0 metre wide Plate Rolling Mill is on the anvil that would produce discrete plates in straight lengths for use in pipe making plants. This will be one of the widest plate mills in India having capacity of 1.5 MTPA. Sinter is a feed-mix to the blast furnace which has contributed significantly in increasing the efficiency of the blast furnace iron-making process. Technological Advantage The use of intensive mixer and granulator in place of conventional mixing and re-rolling drum has led to substantial improvements in productivity, a stable sinter quality and reduced coke consumption. It also gives higher flexibility for the sintering of iron ores with higher percentage (up to 70%) of ultra fines
Siemens VAI	Blast Furnace JSPL has taken the technological knowhow and key process equipments from Siemens VAI to establish a 4554 m3 Blast Furnace, the biggest in India with state of the art technology, which will produce nearly 4.2 MT of hot metal per annum. This hot metal along with DRI will act as a potential charge mix to the EAF and BOF Technological Advantage The blast furnace will produce average and maximum 11,000 & 12,000 tons per day of Hot Metal with very high Pulverize Coal Injection rate (250 kg/thm) and high Oxygen enrichment (up to 9%).

Siemens VAI	Sinter Plant JSPL has taken the technological knowhow and key process equipments from Siemens VAI, Austria for a state-of-the-art 490m2 (5.0 MTPA) Sinter Plant. Sinter is a feed-mix to the blast furnace which has contributed significantly in increasing the efficiency of the blast furnace iron-making process. Sinosteel Equipment & Engineering Company-MECC	Coke Oven Plant JSPL has taken the technological knowhow and key process equipments from Sinosteel Equipment & Engineering Company-MECC, China for 1.7 MTPA recovery type stamp charging coke oven plant. Metallurgical coke is one of the prime requirements for the production of hot metal through the blast furnace route. The coke not only supplies heat to the blast furnace for melting purpose but also acts as a reducing agent inside the furnaces for reduction of iron oxides to metallic iron. Technological advantage The plant will produce very high quality metallurgical coke for Blast Furnace application
Siemens VAI	Blast Furnace JSPL has taken the technological knowhow and key process equipments from Siemens VAI, UK to establish a 4019 m3 Blast Furnace, one of the biggest in India, which will produce nearly 3.5 MT of hot metal per annum. Technological Advantage The blast furnace will produce 10,000 tons per day of Hot Metal with very high Pulverize Coal Injection rate (200 kg/thm) and high Oxygen enrichment (up to 9%).
SMS-siemag	BOF Shop JSPL has taken the technological knowhow and key process equipments from SMS-siemag, Germany for 2x 200 Ton BOF + 2 x 200 Ton LF + 1x200 Ton VD unit, which will produce nearly 3 MTPA of liquid steel per annum.
SMS Concast, Switzerland	Billet Caster JSPL has taken the technological knowhow and key process equipments from SMS Concast, Switzerland for 2 x 8 strand billet caster, which will produce nearly 3.0 MTPA of Billets per annum.
Morgan Construction Company-USA	Wire Rod Mill JSPL has taken the technological knowhow and key process equipments from Morgan Construction Company for a 0.6 MTPA Wire Rod mill. This is one of the highest capacity mill in this segment capable of producing very high quality wire rods.
Morgan Construction Company-USA	Bar Mill JSPL has taken the technological knowhow and key process equipments from Morgan Construction Company for a 1 MTPA Bar mill. This is one of the highest capacity mill in this segment capable of producing very high quality TMT bars/angles.

Barbil Oman

Pellet Plant No. 1	Jacobs Engineering & Co. JSPL has taken the technological knowhow and key process equipments from Jacobs Engineering & Co., USA for a state-of-the-art 464 m2 (4.0 MTPA) Pellet Plant. Technological Advantage The plant produces very high quality pellets suitable for DRI and Blast Furnace application. The plant uses producer gas as a source of Fuel.
Pellet Plant No. 2	Outotec JSPL has taken the technological knowhow and key process equipments from Oututec, Germany for a state-of-the-art 512 m2 (4.0 MTPA) Pellet Plant. Technological Advantage The plant will produce very high quality pellet suitable for DRI and Blast Furnace application.
Iron Ore Benefication Plant	Allmineral Asia JSPL has taken the technological knowhow and key process equipments from all mineral Asia, for a state-of-the-art 1500 tpd (3x500) Iron ore Benefication plant. Technological Advantage This is a very high capacity plant with high yield (around 80%)

DRI (Direct Reduced Iron)	Midrex JSPL has taken the technological knowhow and key process equipments from Midrex,USA for producing DRI by using Natural Gas. The DRI will be fed to the Electric Arc Furnace for producing liquid steel. The capacity of the plant is 1.5 Million TPA. Technological Advantage The Hot DRI will be feed directly into the Electric Arc Furnace by gravity (HOTLINK). This will be used for the first time in world. This is a state of the art plant having flexibility of producing HOT DRI as well as Briquettes of high quality.
Electric Arc Furnace	Danieli JSPL has taken the technological knowhow and key process equipments from Danieli, Italy for 1 x 200 T EAF with secondary metallurgy facility, which will produce 2.0 MT of liquid steel per annum. Technological Advantage The Hot DRI will be feed directly into the Electric Arc Furnace by gravity (HOTLINK). This will be used for the first time in world. This is the largest capacity Electric Arc Furnace in the Middle East Region.
Combi Caster	Danieli JSPL has taken the technological knowhow and key process equipments from Danieli, Italy for a 1 x 8 strand Combi Caster. Technological Advantage This is a state of the art plant having flexibility of producing HOT DRI as well as Briquettes. The HOT DRI will be transported to the adjacent steel making facility through Hot DRI Transport Vessels.
