Bhubaneswar August 16: Orissa chief minister Navin Patnaik gave away the Think Odisha Leadership Award in corporate social responsibility to Jindal Steel & Power Ltd (JSPL) , a company of the $ 10 billion O P Jindal Group, here on August 14, 2008.

JSPL GETS MINING RIGHTS IN
BOLIVIA

JSPL has been granted the mining rights for 20 Bn tonnes of iron ore reserves from El Mutun, Bolivia, which is one of the largest iron ore reserves in the world. JSPL plans to invest USD 2.1 bn over the next 8 years.

JSPL bags Think Odisha Leadership Award in Corporate Social Responsibility
Bhubaneswar August 16: Orissa chief minister Navin Patnaik gave away the Think Odisha Leadership Award in corporate social responsibility to Jindal Steel & Power Ltd (JSPL) , a company of the $ 10 billion O P Jindal Group, here on August 14, 2008.

Jindal Steel & Power Ltd awarded First Prize - ‘National Energy Conservation Award 2007’ in the Integrated Steel Plants Sector. The award reaffirms company’s culture of energy conservation.

Shri Madhu Koda, Hon'ble Chief Minister of the Jharkhand laid the foundation stone of the JSPL's new 6 million tonne steel plant at Patratu in Hazaribagh district in a ceremony on 18th March 2007.

Er. D.P. Sarawgi, Executive Director, Jindal Power Limited, has been conferred upon with the prestigious "Lifetime Achievement Award" by the "Institute of Engineers (India)-Chhattisgarh State Chapter-Raipur". Mr. Vikrant Gujral, Vice Chairman and CEO, Jindal Steel and Power Ltd. has been awarded IIM Platinum Medal 2006
Mr. Vikrant Gujral, Vice Chairman and CEO, Jindal Steel and Power Ltd. has been felicitated by The Indian Institute of Metals with 'IIM Platinum Medal' 2006. The Platinum Medal is the highest honour in the field of Metallurgy and recognizes outstanding lifetime contribution to the metallurgical profession, industry and to The Indian Institute of Metals. The medal was presented at the inaugural function of the 44th National Metallurgists' Day Celebrations & 60th Annual technical Meeting of the Institute on 14 November 2006. The medal was awarded by Mr. Muthuraman, President, IIM in presence of the Dr. Akhilesh Das, Minister of State (steel) and Dr. Mashelkar, Chairman, CISR.

JSPL Gets Mining Rights In Bolivia

Chhattisgarh - Expanding Capacities
Signed MoU with the State Government of Chhattisgarh to set up the following manufacturing facilities with an investment of Rs. 2595 crores.

Orissa
Working towards a bright new future for Orissa. Leading Industrial development & progress in Orissa. Signed an MoU to set up a 6 million tonne steel plant in Orissa by investing Rs. 13,500 crores.

Jharkhand
Another step forward aimed at progress and industrialization, signed an MoU with State Government of Jharkhand to set up a 6 million tonne steel plant with an investment of Rs. 15,000 crores.

Jindal Power Ltd., has set up a 1000 MW O P Jindal Super Thermal Power Plant at Raigarh Jindal Steel and Power Ltd.
